The environment does not stimulate. You want your kid to be able grow at the daycare. The environment needs to be stimulating both for cognitive and emotional development.

The caregivers are not providing emotional support. All children require love and support to grow. The growth of children can be affected if the caregivers ignore them or have a negative reaction to their behaviour.

The facility has too much children at a time. If you want your caregivers be supportive and attentive of your child they need to have time for individual interaction.

The center is not a safe environment. Your child must always be kept in a safe place during their stay.

The center is not healthy. If your child’s center doesn’t follow good hygiene practices or allows sick children in attendance, it increases the likelihood of them becoming ill.

Curriculum lacks growth-promoting activities. The facility you choose should be able to positively influence your child’s mental, physical, social, and emotional development. The facilities that do not provide this service are really just babysitting in a small room.

They don’t comply with state licensing requirements. If a facility is not in compliance with the laws of the city, state or nation, it’s not appropriate for your children.

The caregivers are not communicating well. When the caregivers, staff or management are not honest with you about any topic related to the daycare, this is a red flag.
